“Not having my father present place me behind life’s learning curve,” says the “Man Tality” author, DeWayne Foote.
He shares the wisdom he gained from being ” a boy that lacked vision, who stumbled and fell,” who grew into a young adult without purpose, to then develop into a man stripped of love. Yet even as he faced obstacles that would bring him to hit rock bottom, he was tasked to take on the challenge of becoming a man all on his own. In that challenge he found the courage to love himself, believe in himself, and learn that experiencing failure did not make him a failure. His determination made him persevere so that his children could see the example of a man. Trial and error stood in the place of an absent father, teaching him life lessons the only way it knows how. But just when he thought manhood was on the horizon, an unforeseen road block revealed to him how unprepared he was to be the man he wanted to be so badly. But that’s where the story actually began.
