The Dempsey Cowlick is Ruth Anzalone’s current musical project. Ruth started off in an acoustic duo called Swallowed A Fly in the late 80s, a pop rock band called Amusia (then Ruth, then The Wild Sea) in the 90s and 2000s. Their last album was released in 2005 and they played all over Boston, Cambridge, Somerville and New York City over the years.
Ruth is lucky to have many talented musician friends who helped bring a new song to life in 2022. The Dempsey Cowlick plays Ruth’s bands tunes as well as an assortment of covers of songs that inspired her.

Boston Music Award Nominee, Kristin Cifelli has been singing in and around the Boston music scene for the better part of 25 years. She has toured the country, sharing the stage with artists such as Jeffrey Gaines, Chris Trapper, Marshall Crenshaw, and Rita Wilson.
