Founded in 2013 by veterans of the Boston music scene, vocalist & emcee Jonathan Gramling and bassist Fez Aswat, hi-fi Monk is a deep dive exploration of Funk, Reggae, Hip Hop and Soul. With both deeply lyrical original music inspired by their broad musical influences and a set list that includes tributes and mashups of classic tunes and the hits that sampled them, these musicians are seeking to elevate audiences to a higher plane. They deliver top quality musical execution coupled with a conscious and grounded passion that you can feel, from the first note to the last.
Joined by legendary vocalist Toussaint the Liberator and a squad of highly sought after musicians: Craig Powe on keys, Zach Monroe on guitar and Adriel Ferguson on drums, the band is a talented crew with a deep pocket and a one of a kind sound.
