Drummer and composer Giuseppe Paradiso returns to the Lizard Lounge. Meridian 71 is an eclectic and international ensemble of Boston-based musicians, led by Paradiso. The original music performed by Meridian 71 is characterized by a very distinctive and unique voice, as a result of the encounter between musicians of different countries and the extensive research into various music traditions and cultures. Influences range from jazz and improvised music to European, African and Middle Eastern traditions.
This show also features contemporary and Afro-fusion dancer Melissa Alexis, as well as painter Jasmine Chen.
