Sherry Matlock is a late-in-life spoken word poet. She has always had a passion and talent for writing. A year ago, she performed a piece at the Lizard Lounge that cemented her commitment to her spoken word journey. Since then, she has performed new or in-progress pieces on the open mic and hopes to one day participate in a slam.
