(Are they a surf band? A boozy lounge act? A countrified chicken-pickin’ combo? A tripped out psych band? A freak-rock monstrosity? A spy movie theme time machine? All of the above?) \nLed by Boston-based producer/engineer/mixer Pete Weiss\, The ‘Nauts have toured all over the east coast and sometimes farther\, releasing seven full-length albums and four mini-albums. Their latest release\, “Hamming It Down\,” peaked at #3 on the national alt-country radio chart in the spring of 2023. As Mojo Flucke of Popdose.com put it\, “Hamming It Down continues the Weisstronauts’ decades-long string of some of most well put-together instrumental albums I’ve ever heard.
