SUMMARY:Kimaya Diggs "Green" Album Release w/ Miranda Rae & Grace Givertz
DESCRIPTION:Kimaya Diggs celebrates the release of her latest album "Green" October 17th with Miranda Rae and Grace Givertz!\n\n\nDoors 7 \n \nRecently off tour dates with Mavis Staples\, Emily King\, Trombone Shorty\, and more\, musician Kimaya Diggs navigates her world with stories. Her songwriting serves as both a portal and a roadmap toward a future self; a not-yet-envisioned world and way of being. Her new album\, Green (out October 2)\, is an extended love missive to the New England landscape\, asking questions of belonging and goodness. Green showcases twelve tracks of glittering\, genre-bending indie pop\, carried by Diggs’ powerful\, honeyed vocals\, and honest\, attentive lyricism.  \n \nHer songwriting has earned her many accolades\, including a New England Music Awards nod\, gigs at legendary folk haunts like Club Passim\, and appearances at Green River Festival\, Rubblebucket’s Dream Picnic\, and the Emily Dickinson Poetry Festival. festival.  \n \nOn Green\, it’s clear Diggs has been forced to harden herself against the heartbreak that comes along with loving and being loved\, but it would be foolish to mistake her hard-won grit for surliness aimed toward the world. It’s this very grit that shapes her love into something more capacious and ever-expanding. Her softness is in turn reserved for herself\, the ones closest to her\, and the earth. It’s this faithful preservation that serves as Green’s trustworthy tether.  \n \nKimaya Diggs \n\n\n\nHailing from the sunshine state of Florida\, Boston based artist Grace Givertz captivates audiences with her indie folk compositions\, blending earworm melodies with heartfelt storytelling. As a multi-instrumentalist\, she infuses her music with a diverse array of sounds\, weaving folk\, Americana\, and indie rock into a tapestry uniquely her own.   \nDrawing inspiration from her personal journey living with chronic illness\, Givertz’s music resonates with raw emotion and introspection. Her experiences infuse her songs with depth and authenticity\, inviting listeners to explore themes of resilience and vulnerability.   \nHer sophomore release\, Midnight Feature out March 13th 2026\, exclusively features BIPOC\, LGBTQ+\, and/or disabled musicians. This collaborative effort not only amplifies underrepresented voices but also underscores her commitment to inclusivity and diversity within the music industry. Following her 2019 debut\, Year of the Horse\, Givertz continues to showcase her ability to turn lemons into lemonade through song. “…The only real option is to smile at how much she packs into a tiny punch of a song\,” Nina Corcoran writes in digboston.   \n \nGrace Givertz \n \n\n\n\nFrom open mics to award-winning stages\, Miranda Rae has carved her own lane as one of Boston’s defining R&B voices.Of Haitian and Irish descent and raised in Boston\, her multicultural background shapes a sound rooted in neo-soul and traditional R&B. A lifelong singer whose first release arrived in 2016\, Miranda has since performed across nearly every major venue in the Boston metro area – earning recognition for her captivating live performances and emotional storytelling. She is a three-time Boston Music Awards Vocalist of the Year (2023-2025) and the 2020 R&B Artist of the Year\, with multiple nominations highlighting her lasting influence on the city’s music culture.
