SUMMARY:Use the Force/Carboy
DESCRIPTION:Use The Force reimagines classic film themes with funky grooves\, rich jazz harmony\, and explosive solos. Carboy brings funk/soul all night!\n\n\n$15/$20 door \nDoors 7 \nUse the Force boldly reimagines classic movie themes with funky grooves\, jazzy harmony\, and epic solos\, inspired by the epic music of John Williams\, but also featuring the music of other composers for cinema and television. Think Harry Potter wallowing in butterbeer in New Orleans and Darth Vader busting out the head spins at a dance party. \nThough this juxtaposition sounds downright silly\, the band is serious about their music. This accomplished quintet draws upon their deep reservoir of musical skills to transform cinematic masterpieces through the prism of groovy\, soulful funky-jazz fusion. \nWith Rick Stone (sax)\, Nick Grondin (guitar)\, Sean Farius (bass)\, Giuseppe Paradiso (drums). \nUse The Force

DESCRIPTION:Join us June 5th for the release of Charlie Marie’s latest album “Signs” with Daniel Miller and the High Life!\n\n\n$20/$25 Door \nDoors 7 \nCharlie’s latest full-length album Signs\, out June 5\, is about her epic journey of self-discovery following profound loss. Embarking on a spontaneous journey across the US from Rhode Island to Alaska and back again\, the songs reflect both the trials and tribulations she encountered and the signs she learned to recognize along her path\, guiding and sometimes redirecting her to the truths she learned and answers she sought. \nCharle Marie \n \n\n\nDaniel Miller is a singer-songwriter with a penchant for centering his music on locales that inspire him. “My goal is to take a region that I love and write songs about that place. My focus isn’t on limiting a record to fit into a specific bin on a store shelf; it’s to tell a story.” Born and raised in Knoxville\, TN and currently living outside of Boston\, MA\, Daniel has been writing songs based off of his experiences on the road for the past twenty years. Those songs have provided Daniel and his country-rock touring band\, The High Life\, the opportunity to open for various national touring acts in some of America’s most beloved performance venues. \n \nDaniel Miller and the High Life

SUMMARY:Jake Manzi-"Getting Somewhere" Release w/Erin Cassels Brown
DESCRIPTION:Jake Manzi returns to the Lizard Lounge to celebrate his latest release “Getting Somewhere” June 12th with special guest Erin Cassel Brown.\n\n\n$15/$20 Door \nDoors 7 \n  \nRaised in western MA and residing in Los Angeles\, Jake’s unique brand of folk rock has earned him significant acclaim\, sold-out hometown shows\, and opening slots for Dawes\, NRBQ\, Ron Sexsmith\, M. Ward\, Lori McKenna\, and more. \nAfter a decade of writing songs\, making records\, and touring across the country\, Manzi presents his third full-length record\, Getting Somewhere. Recorded mostly-live at Recorders in LA\, it’s a confident\, assured collection of no-frills Americana gems. \nGetting Somewhere sees Manzi at his best\, roadtipping through eleven songs that start in nostalgia and end up landing firmly in the present. “When you go\, the trouble begins\,” he sings\, heartsick\, in the first track. By the end of the record\, accompanied by whirling organ and distant\, roomy-sounding drums\, things have changed: “I’m finally waking up.” \nCo-produced with Gabriel Bernini\, the album favors an invisible approach to production: complete takes captured live and minimally dressed up with overdubs. The songs breathe\, and the performances speak for themselves. The result is vibrant and immediate\, closer to what it sounds like when Manzi takes the stage. \nWith driving piano that nods to Jackson Browne\, heartachey lap steel\, and the shimmer of glockenspiel recalling Springsteen’s most energetic moments\, Getting Somewhere takes us through winding roads with plenty of detours\, landing in a place of quiet confidence\, truehearted and speckled with delightful imperfections. \nJake is no stranger to collaboration. As part of a close-knit Italian family\, he grew up singing around the table after homemade dinners. During a two-month artist residency in France\, Manzi collaborated with guitarist (and Remi Wolf co-writer) Jack DeMeo. Together\, under the name The Breadwinners\, they released their first LP titled ‘Starter’ in February of 2026. DeMeo’s guitar and vocals appear on Getting Somewhere\, alongside keyboardist Eli Salus-Kleiner\, Tim Heidecker band lap and pedal steel player Connor “Catfish” Gallagher\, \nMikaela Davis’ bassist Shane McCarthy\, Charlie Faragher on drums\, and many more. It’s a lineup featuring old and new: longtime Massachusetts pals who also made the westward migration\, and new friends made in LA. \nWritten during a period of perpetual motion—bouncing from apartment to apartment\, undergoing sweeping growth both artistically and personally—Getting Somewhere is an LA record in spirit and sound\, with Manzi’s New England heart beating at its center. \n-Kimaya Diggs \n  \nJake Manzi \n\n\n“If you don’t already know Erin Cassels-Brown\, you should. He may just be your new favorite songwriter.” – (Brian Carroll\, Redline Roots)\n  \nErin Cassels-Brown is a songwriter\, carpenter\, and solar installer from Starksboro\, Vermont. Over the past decade he’s released music independently and performed in dive bars\, clubs\, and back yards while working in the building trades to help keep the lights on. He’s currently working on Count Us Lucky\, a record inspired by Addison County and the people who live there. You can find his music on streaming services and tour dates on his Instagram. \n  \nErin Cassels-Brown

SUMMARY:The Wildwoods
DESCRIPTION:From the heart of Lincoln\, Nebraska\, The Wildwoods have grown into a folk/Americana trio rooted in rich harmonies and heartfelt storytelling\n\n\nDoors 7 \n \nThe Wildwoods\, hailing from Lincoln\, Nebraska\, continue to bring sonic beauty and simplicity to today’s increasingly complicated and cluttered musical landscape. With Dear Meadowlark\, the band’s fourth full-length album released on April 11\, 2025\, The Wildwoods have once again taken the hallmarks of the folk-Americana sound and dressed it in indie sensibilities a la heroes Nickel Creek and Gillian Welch as well as genre mainstays Bon Iver and Mumford & Sons. \nAnd yet\, at its core\, Dear Meadowlark is about three 20-something musicians celebrating the emotional allure of familiarity and comfort. “The main lyrical theme of the album is the appreciation for our home state of Nebraska and the homesickness that can come with long periods spent on the road\,” says Noah Gose. \nThe Wildwoods are Noah Gose on vocals\, acoustic and electric guitar; his wife\, Chloe Gose on vocals and violin; and longtime friend Andrew Vaggalis on vocals and upright bass. Their delicate embrace of the past\, present\, and future has transformed The Wildwoods into a potent entity. Recently\, The Wildwoods were finalists in the 2024 Rocky Mountain Songwriter Contest in Red Lodge\, Montana. In 2023\, the trio enjoyed being finalists in two high-profile band competitions – FreshGrass Music Festival and VHS “Gems in the Rough.” Also\, their songwriting strengths have been recognized by semi-final placements in the International Songwriting competition with tracks such as “Untitled” and “Way of Train.” \n“The Wildwoods I think inhabit their own unique shapeshifting genre. Their timeless Western sound somehow strikes a special musical place within a lot of us folks. That kind of music connects us through time & space.” \n— Cole Mitchek (Smallsongs)\, Americana Highways \nThe Wildwoods

SUMMARY:The Huntress and Holder of Hands/Wyn & The White Light
DESCRIPTION:The Huntress and Holder of Hands celebrate the release of their latest album “Babylon” with Wyn & The White Light July 17th!\n\n\n$20/$25 door \nDoors 7 \nThe Huntress and Holder of Hands phoenixed from the loss of songwriter MorganEve Swain’s husband and musical partner\, Dave Lamb (Brown Bird) in 2014 and has since evolved to encompass the anger\, hope\, despair and compassion of the greater good. Grief\, after all\, when shared\, becomes a unifying force. \nTen years after the band’s debut album\, Avalon\, The Huntress and Holder of Hands returns with Babylon. As the title suggests\, the collection grapples with corruption\, confusion and violence but also redemption\, hope\, and sanctuary. Songs like “Promethean”\, “Doctrine”\, “Beasts We Are” and “Ritual”\, ask questions of humanity—are we too late to change? Are we learning from our mistakes? Is this the world we want to leave behind? While other tracks— “Absence” and “Timbre Inaudible”—make it clear that Swain’s personal grief remains an active well. \nRecorded at Providence’s Machines With Magnets and Dirt Floor Studio in Middletown CT\, the album is heavier and fuller than its freshman effort\, employing Swain’s cousin Matt Swain (Two Feet) on drums\, as well as Death Vessel’s Joel Thibedau and Penn Sultan (Museum Legs\, Last Good Tooth) on percussion and atmosphere. Christopher Sadlers returns with dynamic electric bass—alternately sludgy\, distorted\, driving and supportive— while Liz Isenberg and Emily Dix Thomas provide swelling layers of cello\, bowed string bass and vocal harmonies. Tied together throughout with electric guitar\, violin and vocal lead by MorganEve Swain\, the result is a mature album full of urgency. \nBabylon also features songwriting from Emily Dix Thomas with “Rocky Coast” and a fully collaborative effort with “Desert Song”\, which was written and recorded as a pandemic Postal Service-style project between Swain\, Isenberg\, Sadlers\, Dix Thomas and former bandmate Rachel Blumberg and borrows words from the late Dave Noyes (Seekonk\, Rustic Overtones). Rounding out the album are the band’s live cover of Brown Bird’s “Bilgewater”\, and a final appeal to our wiser\, childlike selves with the at once sparce “Thunderstorm”\, whose ending harkens to composer Gavin Bryar’s “Sinking of the Titanic”. Will we let this ship go down too?  Will the empire fall? Or can we rewrite the story after all? \nWith grief as our teacher\, The Huntress and Holder of Hands’ Babylon\, implores us to consider our options. \nThe Huntress and the Holder of Hands \n\n\n\nWyn and the White Light is the pomegranate-infused haunted-soul-rock band led by two-time ‘Female Performer of the Year’ New England Music Award (NEMA) nominee Wyn Doran. Wyn is no stranger to the New England music scene\, receiving numerous NEMA nominations for her solo music\, opening for acts including Rhett Miller and Giant Rooks\, and working closely with Ben Folds at songwriting retreats. With the addition of Lucia Jean (bass/vocals) and Heidi Tierney (drums/vocals)\, Wyn has expanded into a new electric chapter with the White Light. The trio’s live act has taken flight: weaving primal\, haunting energy with “blackened\, burning candor (Deli Magazine)\,” and selling out numerous Boston shows in their first year. \nAll members of the band have faced their mortality in the wake of medical trauma\, uniting to lift the message of Wyn’s songs which confront the experience of living with chronic illness and strength found in adversity. The trio recorded their debut 10-song LP entitled ‘Luck” in 2023\, a journey through the divine feminine and near death experience. \nWyn & The White Light
