Joan Anderman was a neophyte\, having left her longtime post as rock critic at The Boston Globe and set out to become a songwriter. Her former Globe colleague Dan Zedek\, veteran of numerous college bands\, was sitting on a stash of songs written in his head while riding the train to work. The band’s original drummer John Kehe offered his gear-filled basement for weekend song circles. The chemistry was potent. These songs and these songwriters belonged together. Touring in in the summer of 2024 in support of their Album ‘It’s Not Rock\, It’s Science’! \nFounded in 2019 as THE FREE ROCK TRIO\, the band released six studio albums with their original lineup of Jacob Keplinger\, Liz Siegel\, and Justin Siegel (Free Rock\, Buford\, Gone Wild\, New Threads is Dead\, Milk\, & Northern Terrace) before bringing in Jacob’s younger brother Jackson on keys in April 2022. This quartet released another five albums (Free Rock National Park\, Dirty Disco\, Buford’s Revenge\, Real Life\, & Free Rock II) before Justin left the band a little over a year later in June 2023. However\, it didn’t take long to fill the position; in August\, Elliott Eastman (a longtime friend of Jacob’s) made his debut with the group and the new lineup released their first record together in early 2024 titled Free Rock Express. \nThe Mighty Suicide Squirrels are a Punk band from Boston Mass!

The group writes\, records\, and performs original songs in the styles of 1960s and 1970s Jamaican music. The group formed in 1997. \n \nPressure Cooker has released seven full-length CDs. Fronted by lead singer Craig Akira Fujita and backed by a core of Boston-area musicians\, the band has played to audiences at clubs and festivals spanning from New England to Chicago. Over the years\, Pressure Cooker has opened locally for notable artists of roots reggae music including Toots & the Maytals\, Burning Spear\, Gregory Isaacs\, The Wailers\, Prince Buster\, Derrick Morgan\, The Skatalites\, Culture\, Laurel Aitken\, Eek-A-Mouse\, Julian Marley\, and Sister Carol.

DESCRIPTION:Quadrapeg returns to the Lizard Lounge with The After Times\n\n\nMUST BE 21+ \n\n\n Three things bind this quartet together: friendship\, a love of jazz and funk\, and a shared sense of humor. In the 2010s\, Bassist Jameson Stewart\, organist Ben Blanchard\, drummer Patrick Dalton\, and guitarist Sam Crawford formed a close personal and musical rapport working together as sidemen in various styles. It wouldn’t be long until they tried playing their own instrumental music as a quartet. Today\, QuadraPeg brings joy and vitality to their compositions and improvisations\, always with a solid groove\, camaraderie\, and a touch of the absurd. \nQuadrapeg   \n\n\nJosiah Reibstein (bass)\, Joe Musacchia (drums)\, and Malcom Campbell (keys) have been playing music together since middle school. In this trio formed during the pandemic of 2020\, they seek to foster an environment for original compositions and contemporary interpretations of songs they love.

From high-energy body-moving grooves to heartfelt emotive ballads\, Peter Prince (front man & MBL originator) & MBL are widely respected by fans and musicians alike for their signature “Rocket Soul” sound and deep catalog of songs that top “all-time favorites” lists of fans across the globe! \nFounded in NYC in 1993\, the initial lineup of Moon Boot Lover featured guitarist\, vocalist & MBL songwriter\, Peter Prince alongside Alan Evans on drums & Owen Yost on bass\, they recorded MBL’s first release\,Outer Space Action (1994).The following year Neal Evans on keyboards & Jon Hawes on bass joined the group to record MBL’s second live release\, Live Down Deep (1995). Each album featured a comic book-style cover art drawn by Peter Prince. The band achieved success on the jam bands circuit with contemporaries like moe.\, Schleigho\, and others. In fall of 1996\, they played a short Rock the Vote tour with moe.\, the Ominous Seapods\, and Yolk\, which featured a large amount of cross-pollination between the groups. After a couple of years of hard touring around the country\, Jon Hawes left the group\, leaving P.Prince & the Evans brothers to record their 3rd studio release\, Catskill Martian Dogs (1997). \nThe Evans brothers left to pursue other projects (Soulive)\, Prince\, meanwhile\, participated in collaborative acoustic tours with singer/songwriter David Gans\, members of moe.\, and others entitled the Merry Danksters\, as well as touring with Allman Brothers guitarist\, Derek Trucks\, before putting together a new lineup of Moon Boot Lover. \nWith the transience of the lineup established\, Peter Prince firmly became the group’s center of attention.
