Since his debut in 2006\, Baldrachi has built an impressive catalog\, releasing four albums\, two EPs\, and numerous singles\, showing his dedication to crafting a distinctive sound. His forthcoming album\, “Nothing’s Promised\,” explores the many of the influences that have shaped his music. The album is packed with infectious hooks\, introspective lyrics\, and a dynamic band that highlights his songwriting. \nPeter Baldrachi \n \n\n\n“…it would be a mistake to peg him as merely a sum of those who came before him” \n– No Depression \n“His roots-based music and tremendous sense of melody grab your attention; his perceptive and intelligent lyrics give his songs exceptional depth.” \n– Twangville \n“…a terrific\, endlessly listenable album that in a perfect world – or even an imperfect one – deserves to make Thibaud a star.” \n– The Boston Herald \nTodd Thibaud is a Vermont born\, Boston based Singer-Songwriter who’s songs are a slice of what life is really like…the pains and pleasures\, love lost and life reborn. Using songwriters like Elvis Costello\, Neil Finn\, Johnny Cash and John Hiatt for inspiration\, Thibaud has built a sound that is entirely his own. His music is meshed with elements of Americana\, Folk\, Country and Roots Pop Rock\, making it seem at once familiar and new. After fronting his band\, “Courage Brothers” and releasing two independent records in the early ‘90’s (Something Strong & Wood)\, Thibaud went solo and recorded two critically lauded albums for Doolittle Records (now New West Records)\, 1997’s “Favorite Waste of Time” (produced by Bostonian musician Kevin Salem) and 1999’s “Little Mystery” (Co-produced with Jim Scott: Wilco\, Crowded House\, Kathleen Edwards). In addition to various live recordings and DVD’s he’s since released several additional studio recordings\, including 2002’s “Squash”\, 2005’s “Northern Skies” (Both produced by Adam Steinberg- Patty Griffin\, Dixie Chicks) and 2009’s “Broken”. You’ve probably heard Todd even if you haven’t listened to one of his albums or attended his buoyant\, high-energy shows. His songs are regularly featured on TV\, where ESPN especially has taken Todd’s straight and true art to heart\, and most recently on episodes of NCIS and Justified. His work has also appeared in films\, such as John Favreau’s Love & Sex. Plus\, the Boston-area singer and picker has been played on Americana radio since the early ‘90s. Thibaud’s most recent album\, “Hill West” (Produced by Ed Valauskas\, Juliana Hatfield\, Gravel Pit)\, was released in the spring of 2019. His project\, Water and Sand\, with fellow singer/songwriter\, Kim Taylor\, released their debut album in early 2016\, their follow up\, “Catching Light” in 2019\, and their most recent\, “City Crows” in 2023. He tours regularly throughout Europe in both full band and acoustic formats\, and performs regionally at home in the U.S. Check out Todd’s album “Waterfall” on SoundCloud: \nhttps://soundcloud.com/toddthibaud/sets/waterfall

SUMMARY:Audrey Pearl/Julia Randal/Alex Hoskyns
DESCRIPTION:Audrey Pearl\, Julia Randal and Alex Hoskyns live at the Lizard Lounge July 5th!\n\n\n$15 adv/$20 door \nDoors at 8 \n \nAudrey Pearl writes songs the same way she moves through life- with her eyes wide open and her heart on her sleeve. Drawing upon her upbringing in the Green Mountains of Vermont\, the Berklee-graduate’s deeply nostalgic writing highlights her honey-toned vocals and knack for vivid\, haunting imagery. \n \nAudrey’s EP Long Term Plans\, which was released in July 2024\, showcases her range as a writer and musician- deftly weaving together tender indie folk\, jangly alt rock\, and lush bedroom pop. While her inventive songwriting and captivating performances have earned comparisons to acclaimed artists such as Phoebe Bridgers\, Japanese Breakfast\, and Adrianne Lenker\, Audrey is carving out a space all her own as a formidable writer\, performer\, and storyteller in the indie scene. \n \nhttps://audreypearlmusic.com/ \n\n\nA few years ago while scrolling on social media\, singer-songwriter Julia Randall came across a filter called “What niche musical subgenre are you?” On the third or fourth try\, she got “forest elf jazz.” As it happens\, that result encapsulates Julia’s music perfectly. \nHer sound is whimsical and nostalgic\, drawing on jazz\, soul\, and folk traditions and showcasing her soothing\, soaring vocals. Although she is usually seated at the piano or plucking a six-stringed ukulele\, Julia’s primary instrument is her pen: her award-winning songwriting tackles big\, often existential questions with razor-sharp clarity and wit. \nOn May 2nd she released her debut album\, Rom-Com Industrial Complex\, which explores the rift between the expectations and reality of romance across 14 clever and lushly orchestrated tracks. Julia is based in Burlington\, Vermont. \n \nhttps://www.instagram.com/juliarandallmusic/ \n\n\nAlex Hoskyns blends controlled smokey vocal textures with lyrical storytelling to express love\, loss\, and other problems faced throughout her young life. Inspired vocally by the soul of Janis Joplin\, Ray Charles\, Susan Tedeschi\, and Nina Simone\, she can appreciate a good sultry folk ballad just as much as a screaming funk song with full horns. \nThis singer songwriter from Boston\, Massachusetts performs her original music in venues and festivals around boston\, in addition to soloing with the following notable groups: Berklee Tower Of Power Ensemble\, Berkalit\, Point of Departure\, Berklee Singers Night\, Les Arts Berklee Showcase at Palaude les Arts (Val Spain). \n \nhttps://www.alexhoskyns.com/

SUMMARY:Invincible Casuals/Sidewalk Driver
DESCRIPTION:The Invincible Casuals and Sidewalk Driver live at the Lizard Lounge July 12th at 9pm!\n\n\n$15 adv/$20 door \nDoors 7 \nFounded by Chandler Travis\, Steve Shook\, and Rikki Bates in 1980\, the Incredible Casuals were something of a New England legend until they disbanded in 2013. Their first full-length album\, “That’s That”\, was released on England’s Demon label in 1986 and on Rounder in the U.S. the following year\, and was followed by five more “official” full-length releases\, along with a score of homemade efforts and a 2007 “Best Of” collection\, and toured extensively in the U.S.\, Europe\, and in Japan\, where many of their albums have been re-released. \nAfter about ten years of turning down requests to regroup\, Travis\, Bates\, and longtime Casual Steve “Woo Woo” Wood got back together in the summer of 2023\, and enjoyed reviving their repertoire so much that they decided it might be something that somehow really still needs doing\, and voila\, the Invincible Casuals were (re-)born\, much to the delight of a surprisingly large flock of fans who never gave up (including a goodly throng of “Casualties” who never missed a Sunday of their thirty-plus year run at the Wellfleet Beachcomber\, their home bar on Cape Cod.) \n \n“The Casuals make a vintage guitar-driven noise laced with cool Brit-pop hooks and harmonies not unlike NRBQ but with a hint of Replacements-style corrosion…”– David Fricke\, Rolling Stone \nThis ravishing record is a stark reminder of rock’s basic power and simple pleasures. Boy\, do we need it now!”– David Hiltbrand\, People \n \n \nInvincible Casuals \n\n\nThe music of Sidewalk Driver is high energy\, highly-infectious\, hook-driven\, Rock with a capital ‘R.’ The sound is modern but the heart of the band seems to be more in line with 1970s rock culture… the Bowies and the Belushis of the world. Lead singer Tad McKitterick’s voice has power and clarity\, is expressive without falling off the pitch and is forceful without losing subtle moments. Guitarists Kate Murdoch and Jared Egan seamlessly weave crunchy rhythms with soaring solos while bassist Jonn Smith and drummer A.J. Locke hold down the bottom end. The songs always come with some odd bent but not one that repels; rather\, they welcome you to join in the celebration like a carnival barker hyping a freak show. \nSidewalk Driver has provided direct support for an eclectic blend of national acts—including Bon Jovi\, The B-52s\, Spacehog\, Twenty One Pilots\, Andrew W.K.\, and Electric Six—winning over a wide variety of audiences with each performance by injecting humor and fun into their high-octane rock show. \n \nSidewalk Driver

SUMMARY:Daydream EP Relase/Jay Faires
DESCRIPTION:Daydream celebrates their upcoming EP release with Jay Faires July 18th!\n\n\n$15 adv/$20 door \nDoors 8 \nDaydream is a Roots Jam Band that blends Americana\, soulful songwriting\, and hard-driving Rock n’ Roll with the free improvisation of Jam pioneers like the Grateful Dead and the Allman Brothers. Since 2023\, Daydream has been honing a sound that harkens back to these formative influences\, while carving a new path wholly its own. \nAfter a long period in the Boston and New England jam scene playing covers with various groups\, bandleader David Rubin started Daydream as an outlet for his own original music. David has won over audiences with his prowess and by playing with the some of most recognizable acts in the scene\, including his own band Diamond Blues\, at residencies\, tour dates\, and festivals in the Boston area. He’s played with Members of Hot Tuna\, Ryan Montbleau\, New Riders of the Purple Sage\, Dark Star Orchestra\, Guerilla Toss\, Marble Eyes\, Swimmer\, Brown-Eyed Women\, and Bearly Dead. \nThe band\, along with David Rubin on guitar/vocals\, is rounded out by on-the-rise powerhouses Liam Oulton on bass\, Cal DiGiovanni on keyboard\, and Robbie Parrish on drums/vocals. \nDaydream \n\n\nBorn in Tennessee\, Jay Faires grew up playing acoustic guitar\, wishing it was an electric – exposed at age 7 to the east TN bluegrass scene via barn and parking lot jams\, bluegrass camp\, and most importantly\, learning fiddle tunes from a man named Randy Terry in a half-demolished baptist church\, Jay was initially hesitant to embrace the acoustic nature of bluegrass instruments. But due to the deep love of playing and performing music with others\, he found his footing as a young flatpicking guitarist. As soon as possible\, electric guitar came into the picture In high school and college\, and his musical journey throughout Tennessee and North Carolina exposed him to what he calls “feel good” music – old gospel songs\, old time tunes\, classic and modern bluegrass\, jazz jams\, Garcia/Hunter and Weir/Barlow tunes\, and songs written by friends he’s made along the way. While he is just now finding his footing as a songwriter\, his solo shows have lately been focused on reciting the songs from long ago – 1800s and early 1900s folk and other roots songs have such beautiful traditions and stories of being passed down through generations\, and with a particular love for the songs and guitar work of Jerry Garcia\, Jay performs a (mostly) acoustic set of tunes that he feels hit a frequency that transcends time. Jay typically brings an acoustic guitar\, a banjo\, and an electric guitar\, and what happens after that – that’s up to the audience.Jay Faires is the creator of Jerry Tone Store\, inspired by his lifetime love of the sound and tone of Jerry Garcia. His dad\, Eric\, was a taper from 1981-1983 – Grateful Dead music playing throughout the house as a kid left a lasting impact on his musical tastes and more. The first song Jay ever heard was “I Will Take You Home” off the “Built to Last” album on the way home from the hospital\, thanks to his deadhead father. Through his work with Jerry Tone Store\, Jay modifies people’s guitars to help them recreate the magic that Jerry felt when he played onstage.Check out his website here! https://jerrytonestore.com

SUMMARY:Jon McBride's Big Easy With Ryan Montbleau/The Eisenhower Brothers
DESCRIPTION:Fresh off their debut show at the Burlington Jazz Festival\, Ryan Montbleau joins Jon McBride’s for a night of New Orleans music July 24th\n\n\n$15 adv/$18 door \n7 doors \n \nJon McBride’s Big Easy traverses the roots of funk music–early jazz\, blues\, gospel\, and Caribbean styles–playing songs that have entertained audiences for generations. Their skillful musicianship is rooted in jazz and blues traditions but draws on varied experience and eclectic taste\, yielding a unique and modern approach to these storied melodies. Captivating group interaction and melodic improvisation leave listeners and dancers of all ages hungry for more. Laissez les bons temps rouler! \nFeaturing Jon McBride on soprano saxophone\, Ted Perry on piano\, Marty Ballou on bass\, and Dwight Ritcher on drums. \nJon McBride’s Big Easy \n\n\nEisenhower Brothers \nFrom The early days \, when Milt was producing and playing “coloring” guitar on Dwight&Nicole’s first album\, the whole crew living in the house over Rear Window Studio\, Dwight and Milt noticed they had a natural “weave” when the two guitars played together. That’s a word Keith Richard uses to describe what happens with him and Ron Wood. It’s a sympatico conversation between guitars\, finishing each other’s thoughts\, creating a whole\, just a wee bit larger than the sum of its’ parts. Turns out this is kinda rare to find\, and when you do find another player who hears it the same way you do\, then you’re onto something. The instruments can be the same\, or different\, f’rinstance a guitarist and a drummer. It’s a feel thing. Hard to describe\, but you know it when you feel it. So for years\, these two\, now living in different states\, still get the weave going whenever they can. We can’t say exactly what’s gonna happen at an Eisenhower Bros. session\, uncharted territory\, but it’ll probably feel pretty good. Why Eisenhower? Well\, Milt’s long run with Four Piece Suit digs deep into influences from the 1950s-60s\, somebody called it Eisenhower music. That era has become even rosier\, as it represents a decency in public life that has become increasingly elusive. Plus one of the guys is named Dwight\, and guess what! …”Ike” had a brother named Milton. And by an even more unlikely auspicious synchronicity\, Milton Eisenhower\, during his tenure as president of Johns Hopkins University\, was a mentor to a fledgling Freshman\, playing bass in an Acid Jazz band (before the term had been coined) for strippers on Baltimore’s notorious “Block”… Milt Reder. So full circle. Could be good…ya never know. \n\n\nA relentless road warrior and masterful wordsmith\, Ryan Montbleau has spent the better part of thirty years cultivating a devoted audience on the strength of his ecstatic live shows and exhilarating sonic versatility. He’s collaborated with artists as diverse as Trombone Shorty\, Galactic\, Steel Pulse\, Tall Heights\, Martin Sexton\, Anders Osborne\, and George Porter\, Jr; shared bills with the likes of Tedeschi Trucks Band\, Ani DiFranco\, Todd Snider\, The Wood Brothers\, Rodrigo y Gabriela\, and Mavis Staples; and racked up more than 150 million streams on Spotify alone. NPR’s Mountain Stage compared his “eloquent\, soulful songwriting” to Bill Withers and James Taylor\, while Relix celebrated his “poetic Americana\,” and The Boston Herald raved that “he’s made a career of confident\, danceable positivity.” \n \nhttps://www.ryanmontbleau.com/

SUMMARY:Dwayne Haggins Live At The Lizard Lounge
DESCRIPTION:Dwayne Haggins returns to the Lizard Lounge July 25th!\n\n\n$15 adv/$20 door \nDoors 8 \n \nHe’s been described as “the love child of Hank Williams and Sam Cooke.” “The John Legend of rockabilly.” And even\, “the ‘what-took-you-so-long?’ fusion of Elvis Presley and Marvin Gaye.” Notably\, Dwayne Haggins has shared the stage with acts such as Keb Mo\, Joe Bonamassa\, George Thorogood\, Eric Gales\, Brittney Spencer\, John Oats\, Charles Wesley Godwin and more. \nAt every performance\, whether in a venerable metropolitan concert hall or a grimy dive in an anonymous strip mall\, Dwayne is always at work. Adding new subtleties to an obvious melody line. Reinterpreting a time-worn lyrical cliché to imbue it anew with genuine feeling. Unleashing a gentle cascade of vocal acrobatics when least expected (and hence most effective) — never for show alone\, but always to express a likewise unanticipated nuance of feeling: a whisper of love\, a curse of anger\, a groan of pain\, a whoop of joy that feels\, paradoxically\, both surprising and inevitable at the same moment. \n“A look at a typical set list from singer-guitarist Dwayne Haggins would reveal that he’s as comfortable covering rockabilly (Carl Perkins’ “Blue Suede Shoes”) and funk (Stevie Wonder’s “Superstition”) as he is with his own material.”” \n— Ed Symkus \n \nDwayne Haggins
