SUMMARY:Julie Rhodes & Dred Buffalo
DESCRIPTION:Julie Rhodes and Dred Buffalo live at the Lizard Lounge April 3rd!\n\n\nEvent is 21+ \n$20 adv/$25 door \n \nBoston native Julie Rhodes musical career started “on a whim”. After singing along in the audience at a house show\, she was given some words of encouragement to write her own songs. That night\, she began writing her first song and before long she was recording her debut album with producer Jonah Tolchin. She released Bound to Meet the Devil in 2016 and it’s clear this powerhouse vocalist/songwriter is an artist on the rise. \nhttps://www.julierhodesmusic.com/ \n \n \n\n\nDred Buffalo is a duo Rock ’n’ Roll band born out of the misty bogs of Southern New England. Formed in early 2022\, the group quickly established themselves in “the upper echelons of New England rock & roll” (Motif Magazine) and was recently awarded the 2025 New England Music Awards “Rising Star Massachusetts” title. \nKnown for fierce\, high-energy live shows\, dazzling musicianship\, and the magnetic pull of front woman Alerisa Rose’s spellbinding voice\, Dred Buffalo blends retro groove and grit with modern rock sophistication and a touch of psychedelia—delivering a powerful\, immersive sound that resonates with both classic and contemporary rock fans. \nDred Buffalo

SUMMARY:Jessye DeSilva Album Release with Noble Dust
DESCRIPTION:Get ready to rock out with Jessye DeSilva and Noble Dust at the Lizard Lounge\, where music meets magic!\n\n\n$15 adv/$20 Door \nDoors 7 \nJessye DeSilva seamlessly blends theatrical pop elements with traditional folk and roots music to form her piano-driven alt-americana sound. She infuses hope into songs about religious alienation\, mental health struggles\, and societal injustice to create a uniquely queer and unholy ruckus. Jessye’s forthcoming album Glitter Up the Dark was produced by Aaron Lee Tasjan and incorporates Eighties pop and Nineties alternative flourishes to the stately Americana and country-rock sounds of 2023’s Renovations and 2022 debut Landscapes\, which earned her a nomination for Americana Artist of the Year at the 2022 Boston Music Awards. No Depression says “Comparisons to Elton John and Brandi Carlile are easy — DeSilva clearly takes a page from these idols\, anchoring songs in pop melody juggernauts\, gauzy textures\, and vocal bravado.” Nashville Scene named her a 2023 Artist To Watch\, saying “DeSilva could inject new life into a genre that could definitely use a little more pretzel logic.” \nJessye DeSilva \n\n\nNoble Dust creates dynamic\, lyrically-driven folk pop\, blending ethereal vocal harmonies with intricate horn and string melodies. They released their second LP ‘A Picture for a Frame’ recorded at Dimension Sound Studios with producer Dan Cardinal (Darlingside\, The Ballroom Thieves) in August 2023 to critical acclaim from NPR and Bandcamp among others. The group is a 2023 & 2024 New England Music Award Nominee for Americana Band of the Year\, 2023 Falcon Ridge Grassy Hill Emerging Artist and received Club Passim’s inaugural Gecko Award for creative narrative works. The group’s latest project ‘Both Sides Now’ engineered & produced by Devon Dawson (Big Thief\, Local Natives) was released on Bridge & Key in September 2025. \nNoble Dust

SUMMARY:Clamb/Feep/Ohm Foam
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a shock rock triple shot April 17th with Clamb\, Feep and Ohm Foam at the Lizard Lounge!\n\n\n\nCLAMB was born out of a Dadaist desire to create music free from societal norms of perfection. They dig deep into the groove of soulful American music from the infinite James Brown and Alice Coltrane to the aether of seventies European krautrock pioneers like Cluster and Harmonia to patiently sketch foreign landscapes from the ground up. Clamb are devoted to keeping an attitude of acceptance in their largely-improvised songs\, choosing a direction and exploring its corners and nuances to tell stories without words. \nClamb’s tonal palette features Peter Danilchuk’s synths blissfully wiggling through the air\, Jameson Stewart’s mythical gold-glitter-encrusted fretless bass sending terrestrial energy rippling through a rogue’s gallery of cheap pedals\, Joshua Merhar’s playful drumming that constantly eggs the band onward to new hemispheres of groove\, and in 2022 Clamb introduced guitar hero and best friend Sam Crawford whose tonal character and improvisational voice have propelled the band’s ensemble playing further into the fever-dream-realm than ever expected. Clamb hopes they have cornered the market on the Venn diagram intersection of 60s psych nerds raised on Soft Machine Volume 2 and their kids who have spent the past decade gorging on Brainfeeder and Meshuggah. It is Clamb’s distinct wish that each performance function as a Polaroid of the exact moment of its creation\, never to be repeated quite the same way ever again\, remaining both pensive yet hard-grooving all the same. \nCLAMB \n\n\nOhm Foam is instrumental psych rock from the depths of space\, channeled through three humans from earth: Charlie Gargano (guitar)\, Renee Goudreau (bass)\, and Billy Leva (drums). The trio combines cosmic guitar melodies with mountain-quaking bass and drum grooves\, and integrates significant improvisation into their song structures. “Their music ranges from heavy progressive rock to chill\, groovy psychedelic\, and they list Khruangbin\, early Pink Floyd\, and Radiohead as influences. With hard rock-inspired riffs and expansive soundscapes constructed from guitar loops\, Ohm Foam’s music invites you to climb aboard and hang on for the journey.” – Jeff Williams\, Sound of Boston \n  \nOhm Foam \n\n\nFEEP is a Boston psych rock anomaly\, newly reassembled and humming at a higher voltage. This latest incarnation sheds its former skin in favor of something stranger and more kinetic—songs that twitch\, fracture\, and bloom. \nBuilt on warped grooves\, spectral textures\, and a quiet sense of unease\, their sound feels less like performance and more like transmission—something intercepted mid-flight\, distorted but deliberate. There’s energy here\, but it’s not reckless; it coils\, it waits\, it watches. \nhttps://linktr.ee/feepband \n

SUMMARY:Poetry Jam-Levi Lionel Leland
DESCRIPTION:The Lizard Lounge Poetry Jam with featured poet Levi Lionel Leland April 19th!\n\n\n$10 \nJoin us for an evening inside the haunted mind of one of America’s most prolific poets\, Edgar Allan Poe! Share your favorite Poe poem or Poe-inspired original. Featured author and Poe-expert\, Levi Lionel Leland\, will talk about his journey through Poe’s life and works\, and how he came to write his book\, Edgar Allan Poe: The Master of the Macabre. \nLevi Lionel Leland is a born-and-raised Rhode Islander with a near-lifelong passion for Edgar Allan Poe. After tracing Poe’s steps throughout the country\, he turned his focus homeward\, learning all he could about Poe’s time in Providence and the local poet to whom he was engaged in 1848\, Sarah Helen Whitman. Levi created edgarallanpoeri.comand A Walking Tour of Poe’s Providence to share this history with the world. Levi is the author of a recent biography of Poe from Simon & Schuster titled Edgar Allan Poe: The Master of the Macabre. \n \nLizard Lounge Poetry Jam

SUMMARY:Jon McBride's Big Easy With The Eisenhower Brothers
DESCRIPTION:Jon McBride’s Big Easy returns to the Lizard Lounge with special guests The Eisenhower Brothers April 23rd!\n\n\n$15 adv/$20 door \n7 doors \n \nJon McBride’s Big Easy traverses the roots of funk music–early jazz\, blues\, gospel\, and Caribbean styles–playing songs that have entertained audiences for generations\, and exciting fans across many genres\, bringing raw talent and irresistible swing to contemporary roots music. Laissez les bons temps rouler! \nFeaturing Jon McBride on soprano saxophone\, Ted Perry on piano\, Jesse Williams on bass\, and Dwight Ritcher on drums. \n \n\n\nEisenhower Brothers \nFrom The early days \, when Milt was producing and playing “coloring” guitar on Dwight&Nicole’s first album\, the whole crew living in the house over Rear Window Studio\, Dwight and Milt noticed they had a natural “weave” when the two guitars played together. That’s a word Keith Richard uses to describe what happens with him and Ron Wood. It’s a sympatico conversation between guitars\, finishing each other’s thoughts\, creating a whole\, just a wee bit larger than the sum of its’ parts. Turns out this is kinda rare to find\, and when you do find another player who hears it the same way you do\, then you’re onto something. The instruments can be the same\, or different\, f’rinstance a guitarist and a drummer. It’s a feel thing. Hard to describe\, but you know it when you feel it. So for years\, these two\, now living in different states\, still get the weave going whenever they can. We can’t say exactly what’s gonna happen at an Eisenhower Bros. session\, uncharted territory\, but it’ll probably feel pretty good. Why Eisenhower? Well\, Milt’s long run with Four Piece Suit digs deep into influences from the 1950s-60s\, somebody called it Eisenhower music. That era has become even rosier\, as it represents a decency in public life that has become increasingly elusive. Plus one of the guys is named Dwight\, and guess what! …”Ike” had a brother named Milton. And by an even more unlikely auspicious synchronicity\, Milton Eisenhower\, during his tenure as president of Johns Hopkins University\, was a mentor to a fledgling Freshman\, playing bass in an Acid Jazz band (before the term had been coined) for strippers on Baltimore’s notorious “Block”… Milt Reder. So full circle. Could be good…ya never know.

SUMMARY:Blue Ribbons/David Champagne Live at the Lizard Lounge
DESCRIPTION:The Blue Ribbons return to the Lizard Lounge with David Champagne April 25th!\n\n\n$15/$20 \nDoors 7 \n \n“The Blue Ribbons’ latest album\, 2024’s “Forever\, But Not For Long\,” has plenty of pop hooks. Or rather\, it had plenty of them before the band took sledgehammers and scalpels to most of the pretty bits. \n“It took a while to get the bones of some of the tunes down just so we could break them\,” bandleader James Rohr told Herald with a laugh. \nLocal champs the Blue Ribbons are a pop band in the same way that the Beatles or Steely Dan or Television are pop bands in that they like pop but “aren’t too precious about the songs\,” Rohr said. \nJed Gottleib – Boston Herald \n \nThe Blue Ribbons \n \n\n\nA short history of David Champagne. Pre-internet in the band Treat Her Right. 2000s backing up wife in the band The Heygoods. Next decade Agnostic Gospel. Current project Sunset Engine with Elizabeth Steen and Jude Heichelbech. Go to agnostic gospel at band camp to hear music from any of these combos. \nAfter spending time in New York and California\, he moved to Boston\, Massachusetts\, where he became a longtime fixture on the local music scene. Around the turn of the 1980s\, he was in Shane Champagne\, which Trouser Press described as being like Graham Parker‘s band\, the Rumour. This group issued several singles. Alcott was also in Pink Cadillac\, “a sharp rockabilly-cum-rock’n’roll trio” that released one EP in 1983. \nIn Treat Her Right\, Champagne’s “tremulous slide guitar” provided part of the band’s distinctive quality\, as Nashville music journalist Robert K. Oermann put it People magazine wrote that Champagne mimicked the moaning vocal-slide guitar interplay that Robert Plant and Jimmy Page did so well in the early days of Led Zeppelin. That article also noted how Champagne and Mark Sandman wrote “bona-fide bad luck songs with a wink.” \nDave Champagne \nAgnostic Gospel
